I have to go out for lunch today, with the woman who comes in to care for my cat and rabbit. She's a huge, slightly eccentric woman and seems to regard us as friends. I do like her well enough and she's no slouch, private education and runs two or three little businesses but I felt I had to say yes to lunch when she asked me because she'll be looking after our animals. Do you get roped into socialising simply for 'expediency's sake?'

Ha! you're not big on forced socialising then ffs? me either - but there were no excuses, she text me a couple of times and she IS looking after my animals for 10 days and somehow this 'business' agreement has strayed into coffee and lunch.
I think i'm going to get probed this lunchtime, she seems overly interested in my personal life
